Staunton's 69th Annual Homecoming Celebration

The Staunton Volunteer Fire Department will host the 69th Annual Staunton Homecoming, Friday, June 27 to Sunday, June 29 at the Staunton Fireman's Park.

The event kicks off at 5 p.m. Friday.  Highlights include a live broadcast from the park by the radio station K-She 95 from 3:30 to 6:30 Saturday, June 28. During the live broadcast, attendees can sign up to win a Harley Davidson motorcycle. On Saturday and Sunday from 1-4 p.m. there will be a ride matinee with wristbands for $15. 

There will be live music all three nights, a parade at 5 p.m. Sunday and fireworks the same night.

Girard Festival Days

The Girard Chamber of Commerce's annual Festival Days kicks off on Friday, July 25 and runs through Sunday, July 27.  This summer festival features homemade rides for the kids, food, a beer tent, live bands and entertainment.

The Oak Leaf Country Club in Girard will sponsor it's Oak Leaf Golf Challenge on Saturday, August 16.  The tournament will feature two flights.

Tour de Coal/10th Annual Fall Festival

The Coal Country Chamber of Commerce presents the 3rd Annual Tour de Coal Bicycle Ride on Sept. 27.  The Tour de Coal is for riders of all ages and abilities, and is held in conjunction with the 10 Annual Fall Festival at the Benld City Park.

Riders can choose from a 15-mile family ride, a mid-length 30-mile ride or a metric century.  All routes start and end at the Benld Elemetary School. Registration is from 7 to 9 a.m. at the school the morning of the event.
